INTRODUCING THE CHEMOTHERAPY HEADWEAR

MIGHTY HIKERS!

TERRIFIED & EXCITED BUT TOGETHER WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE

You know that moment when one person gets inspired and sends a crazy idea out to their friends thinking "no-one will want to do this" only to find 5 of them get back to you and immediately sign up?

Well that's how this all started!  One fateful text and 5 amazing people later..... it looks like we have ourselves a team of Mighty Hikers, taking on 26miles of the Jurassic Coast on the 5th September all in aid of Macmillan to raise vital funds for their work supporting cancer patients Nationwide.

If you're thinking "this looks lovely" then you would be right, in fact that's probably what we all thought when we signed up for the challenge.  Then reality sets in: this coastline when it rains won't be a fun place to be..... and look at the height of the cliffs we will be walking up and down!  To say that some of us probably wanted a time machine so we could undo our registration may be an understatement, but here we are, a team of 5 fantastic, brilliant and wonderful women, and 1 man who is equally as fabulous (and brave to boot, given he is doing this with 5 women!!)

And so we embark upon this challenge, which will soon be upon us.  Meetings to plan our training are already in place and I promise we won't spend all of it drinking wine to calm the nerves.  By the time the 5th September is upon us, we will be a fighting fit team of hikers, ready to take on the challenge along with any blisters and aching limbs we gather on the way.

IT'S TIME TO MEET THE TEAM

This is a perfect reason to get fit and support the amazing people who help those dealing with cancer.

I am doing this in memory of my friend who was taken from us too soon and suffered at the brutal hand of cancer.

I am doing this because I hate cancer.  It kills, it hurts and it steals, so I am going to do all I can to kick it's butt.

I am doing this to prove at my age you can still take on these challenges, get fit and raise money for a worthy cause.
